Showcases/Tournaments

Athletes from Gottaloveit! attend numerous tournaments and college showcases, gaining the opportunity to compete at the national level and to be seen by college coaches from across the country.

Our athletes also compete in a variety of regional indoor tournaments. In preparation for the National Field Hockey Festival, we also participate in regional scrimmages.

We accept guest players! Past guest players came from MD,VA,  NJ, NY, MA, OH.

Among the major events in which we participate:

National Hockey Showcase: This tournament will be held at the Premier Sports Campus of Lakewood Ranch, FL, the first weekend in February. The event will showcase athletes in a competitive club tournament. The organizers anticipate 2 games per day for each team, for a total of 6 games. The 140-acre Premier Sports Campus will feature 18 fields, 8 of which will be illuminated by stadium lights. Rosters are still open!!!! 

Shooting Star: This showcase tournament takes place Nov 29-Dec 1 in Richmond, VA. Teams may compete in age groups U12, U14, U16, and U19. All games in U16 and U19 will be videotaped, with game video and player profiles available to all 424 college coaches. The Richmond site features 12 turf fields at the River City Sportsplex, Midlothian, VA.


Spring Showcases

JPOL: The Junior Premier Outdoor League runs organized, competitive outdoor leagues in several regions of the United States, giving top youth clubs and their members the opportunity to compete against one other regularly. JPOL events run from April to June in specified regions in an international format. All events are USA Field Hockey-sanctioned.

College Connection Shooting Star: This showcase tournament takes place Easter weekend on Friday and Saturday where teams will play 2 or 3 games each day at the new DE Turf Sports Complex. Shooting Star hosts U14, U16, and U19 age divisions and will use Recruit Spot/Coach Packet for all athletes to create to share with college coaches. Game film will also be available.

University of Maryland - April (U16/U19) and May (U12/U14) - This field hockey college showcase brings individual participants as well as club teams to compete and be viewed by college coaches from across the United States.

Limelight: This field hockey college showcase brings individual participants as well as club teams to compete and be viewed by college coaches from across the United States. The 2020 events will take place in June in Lancaster, PA.
