To all our ORANJE athletes, parents, friends, family and fans!  

We have a big announcement to make, Maxine has just accepted a coaching position at Brown University. “I am hoping to expand my knowledge so that I can be an even better coach, friend and mentor to anyone who crosses my path in the future. My role may slightly change at Oranje but I will continue to be a resource for the club and be a direct impact in any way possible. (NCAA approved).” - Maxine 

The Story: It has been a wild ride the past couple weeks … Being a perfectionist by nature I went through much deliberation in a very short amount of time as I was not pursuing a college job. I received a call from Dartmouth to interview.  Before I made the decision to even fill out the application, I received 4 more opportunities.  So within the last 2 weeks I have been traveling, basically going on recruiting visits to see if I wanted to consider coaching at the college level.  

After thinking about every aspect of the opportunity I decided it was the right choice for me. I absolutely have cried over leaving my Oranje girls in the immediate future! But I will be able to have a bigger impact in the long run with this experience. 

As an elite athlete and someone that demands excellence and prides herself on pushing her athletes to the next level. I would have been a hypocrite to not fully deliberate over the many opportunities that have been placed in my lap over the last two weeks to continue my own growth.  I am in your court, and I will do my best to be as available as I can for each of you throughout this season and beyond. 

I will be here for camp, and until the middle of August. I will continue to offer individual lessons so please reach out to me. Looking to continue to develop as many athletes as I can!
